Miss Russia 2018

Her destination was not the first runner up, later in 2016, she competed in the same competition where she became the winner of Miss Chuvashia 2016. Then she represented Russia in Miss Globe 2016 and placed in the top ten.

Later, Polyachikina represented Chuvashia at the Miss Russia 2018 competition in Moscow. She won the competition against other gorgeous models such as  Polina Popova of Sverdlovsk Oblast, Violetta Tyurkina of Belgorod and Natalya Stroeva of Yakutia. As a winner, she was awarded a brand new car and $3 million. In Miss Universe 2018, she represented Russia but she couldn't win. 

In April 2019, she crowned Alina Sanko of Azon as her successor at the Miss Russia 2019.

In Miss Universe 2018, they have conduct evening gown competitions where Yelia wears a blue dress. That gown was made by a top Russian fashion designer which took 3 months to complete.
