The sibling of rapper Young Gotti, known as Big Jook, met a tragic end when he was fatally shot outside Perignons Restaurant and Event Centre in Memphis, Tennessee. Anthony 'Big Jook' Mims was one of the two individuals who lost their lives in the incident at the venue on a Saturday afternoon.

Mere hours before his untimely demise, Anthony paid homage to a departed friend on his Instagram Story. Alongside a photo, he captioned it with "RIP UNK LAS VEGAS ERIC," honoring his friend as "legendary." 

On the eve of his tragic passing, Big Jook shared a foreboding message, urging fans to remain vigilant. In a video by a Christmas tree, he cautioned, "They don't want to face you; they wanna snake you... Stay alert 2 stay alive, and watch your back at all times... Put snakes on the plate and eat great..."

Following the shooting, a second individual was urgently taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police received reports of the gunfire around 4:15 pm on Saturday, and indications suggest that the attack specifically targeted two men. 

According to TMZ, the incident occurred after Big Jook attended a funeral service in the vicinity. It remains uncertain whether Yo Gotti, whose real name is Mario Sentell Giden Mims, was present with his brother during the shooting. As of now, he has not made any statements regarding his brother's tragic demise.

Memphis police are urging individuals with any information to come forward. Their statement reads: "At 4:15 pm, officers were alerted to a shooting at 6385 Winchester. Upon arrival, a male was discovered on the scene and transported to St. Francis, where he was pronounced deceased. Another male arrived at St. Francis via a private vehicle and is currently listed in critical condition. Please call 901-528-CASH with any tips."

Online videos depict Big Jook on the ground, bleeding, as individuals attempt to assist him. Big Jook maintained a close relationship with his brother and played a role within Yo Gotti's record label, Collective Music Group, where he promoted various artists. 

Established in 2012, Collective Music Group has inked deals with successful acts such as Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Blac Youngsta, GloRilla, EST Gee, and Mozzy. Yo Gotti made his initial foray into the hip-hop scene with his debut album "Youngsta's On A Come Up" in 1996, and he has since released 10 more studio albums.

Yo Gotti swiftly returned to the stage, surprising fans at 42 Dugg's concert less than a week after the tragic death of his brother, Big Jook, in Memphis. 

The rapper made an appearance at Little Caesars Arena on Friday night, exchanging greetings with 42 before delivering a performance of his hit song "F-U" to the enthusiastic and crowded audience.
