The whole Sixers team made it to the wedding, along with guests like Arizona Basketball head coach Sean Miller and his wife Amy, Nick Johnson, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and Jake Hazzard.  

Among the eleven bridesmaids and ten groomsmen, McConnell's former manager from the Wildcats, Dave Miller, and his teammate from the 76ers, Nik Stauskas, were honored as special guests at the ceremony.

Valerie and T.J. were childhood friends who grew up as neighbors on Critchfield Drive in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, just a few miles southwest of Pittsburgh. They've known each other since they were kids.

After Guiliani gave birth, McConnell missed a couple of games on Saturday and Monday following the birth to be with his family. He didn't join the Pacers on their flight to Sacramento. T.J. emphasized that family is his top priority.

Guiliani didn't want McConnell to have the same buzz cut, especially not for their wedding. When she discussed this with him, he had to reconsider his hairstyle. Valerie mentioned, "I said, 'You can't walk down the aisle with a buzzcut. It's not happening.' He doubted how he'd look, but he looks so good with his new style."  

T.J. jokingly added, "I didn't have a say in the matter."
