Bentrup is of Caucasian ethnicity and holds American nationality. Growing up, she spent her formative years in the midwestern state and completed her high school education at Hettinger County's local high school in New England.

Tragically, both of Patricia's parents have passed away. Her father, Hubert, passed away in 2003, while her mother breathed her last in 2011.

Patricia Bentrup was raised in a large family, being one of eleven children born to her parents. Among her siblings were seven boys - Ronald Brentrup, Richard Brentrup, Neil Brentrup, Barry Brentrup, Paul Brentrup, Greg Brentrup, and Jerome Brentrup along with four girls - Janice Brentrup, Renee Brentrup, and Cindy Brentrup.

Tragically, Patricia has bid farewell to four of her siblings: Jerome Brentrup (1942-1945), Ron L. Brentrup (1943-2015), Janice Brentrup (1948-2012), and Paul Brentrup (1961-2012).

Following her relationship with Kit Culkin, Patricia relocated to New York City, where she spent several decades of her life. While most of her siblings are active on Facebook, she chooses not to engage in social media platforms.

Patricia Bentrup Was Romatially Involved with Kit Culkin

Patricia Bentrup and Kit Culkin began their relationship in the 1970s, precisely in 1974. Their paths crossed in North Dakota, and they initially resided there before eventually moving to New York. Despite never officially marrying, their children often perceived their relationship differently.

Throughout their two-decade relationship, the pair welcomed seven children: Shane Culkin (born 1976), Dakota Culkin (born 1979), Macaulay Culkin (born 1980), Kieran Culkin (born 1984), Christian Culkin (born 1987), and Rory Culkin (born 1989). 

Tragically, their eldest daughter Dakota met an untimely demise, losing her life in a car accident in December 2008. Reports indicated that Dakota passed away after a tragic incident while walking on a west-side LA curb.

Patricia Bentrup's Children Embarked on Careers as Child Actors

All of Patricia Bentrup's children initially ventured into show business, but among the seven, only a select few left a lasting mark in the industry, notably Macaulay Culkin. Macaulay skyrocketed to global fame following his consecutive roles in the Home Alone movies, which raked in millions at the box office. He was hailed as an acting prodigy.

Alongside Macaulay, Shane, Christian, Rory, and Kieran also found success in the entertainment world. Rory's portfolio boasts credits in films like Lords of Chaos, Signs, and Mean Creek, while Kieran shared the screen with his brother in Home Alone and appeared in the series Succession.  

Beyond her seven biological children, Patricia also became a stepmother to Kit's daughter, Jennifer Adamson. Sadly, Jennifer passed away at the age of 29, the sole child between Kit and Adeena VanWagnoer

Patricia Bentrup And Kit Fiercely Fought For Custody of Their Children

Patricia Bentrup and Kit Culkin ended their ten-year relationship in March 1995, but the split took an unexpected turn. Trouble brewed between them after the separation, not over child support, but over who would have custody of their children. 

Reports surfaced that the custody battle wasn't just about their love for the kids but also about the money their famous child, Macaulay Culkin, was earning. While together, they used to split a 15% commission from Macaulay's earnings. 

Eventually, after a few months, the Culkin siblings settled with their mother for custody. However, the judge ordered Patricia to ensure proper discipline and good study habits for the children.

What is Patricia Bentrup up to These Days? 

Patricia Bentrup has been enjoying a joyful married life with Mart D. Cox for the past few years. Details about how and when their relationship began are not widely known, but they currently reside in Billings, Montana.

Mart works as a remodeling specialist based in Billings, offering various services such as accessibility construction, design, retrofitting, installation, and molding installation. 

While Patricia and Mart don't have children together, she acts as a stepmother to Kara Cox, Mart's daughter from a previous relationship. Meanwhile, Patricia's ex-boyfriend and the father of her seven children, Kit, has also been in a relationship for about 20 years with Jeanette Krylowski.
