Alexander Vlahos is a talented actor, writer, and director from Wales. You might recognize him as Philippe, Duke of Orléans, from the TV show Versailles. Back in 2012, the 35-year-old star played the character Mordred in the last season of the BBC One show Merlin

Who is Alexander Vlahos Married to?

Alexander Vlahos married his longtime partner Julia Huard in France, surrounded by family and friends. Julia prefers to keep her work life private and has a private Instagram account.

They had their wedding on May 28, 2022, at Chateau de Bourneau. Evan Williams, Vlahos' friend from Versailles, officiated the ceremony, and Tim Fox, an English photographer, captured the special moments.

Alexander wore a burgundy suit with a white shirt and tie, while Julia looked beautiful in a white silk dress with a tiara in her hair. They happily shared their wedding news on Instagram, posting lovely pictures and expressing gratitude to everyone who celebrated with them. 

Alexander Vlahos Past Relationship

Before being with Julia Huard, Alexander Vlahos had relationships with a few women. He was previously involved with actress Lauren Samuels, and they even acted together in a play called La Ronde. Some reports mentioned they might have been engaged around 2018 after dating since 2016.

There were also rumors about Vlahos dating a Swedish model and actress named Kajas Mohammar before his relationship with Samuels. It's unclear whether they were together from 2011 to 2016, as there's no confirmed information about their relationship. 

How Rich is Alexander Vlahos?

Alexander Vlahos has a net worth of around $2 million. He makes most of his money from acting in movies. His biggest show was "Versailles," where he earned a lot, but the exact amount isn't known.  

Apart from acting, Vlahos co-owns a company called CowHouse Films Ltd. They make movies like "Watchtower," "The Lord Won't Mind," and "Daemon Parallel." Additionally, the company sells merchandise, adding to its income streams.

Alexander Vlahos started his career in acting by appearing on TV shows like "Crash" in 2009 and Doctors in 2010, where he played notable roles. His performance in Doctors even got nominated for awards.

In the same year, Vlahos appeared in other series like "Pen Talar" and "The Indian Doctor," as well as in the film Bright Lights. His breakthrough came in 2012 when he played roles in Privates and Merlin. He shaved his head for the role in Privates. Alexander also took on the character of Mordred in Merlin, a role previously played by another actor. 

From 2012 to 2016, Alexander portrayed Dorian Gray in an audio series called "The Confessions Of Dorian Gray." He even wrote an episode for it. He also contributed to other audio plays like "HMS Surprise."

Vlahos then moved to stage productions, appearing in Fortune's Fool at The Old Vic in 2013. He later joined a Doctor Who-related audiobook series as Bertie Potts.  

But Alexander's biggest breakthrough came in 2015 when he started playing Philippe I, Duke of Orléans, in the TV series "Versailles." The series explored life at the French court and became quite popular.  

Vlahos didn't limit himself to TV; he appeared in docudramas like "Barbarians Rising" and took on roles in stage productions like "Romeo and Juliet" and "Richard III." He also played Captain Hook and Mr Darling in a stage production of "Peter Pan."

In 2022–2023, Vlahos appeared in the PBS show Sanditon, portraying the character of Charles Lockhart. 

Controversy of Versailles

Versailles, the TV series where Alexander Vlahos had a major role, stirred up quite a bit of controversy. Some viewers had a problem with the show's erotic scenes, finding them inappropriate. 

This led to widespread criticism, with some of it directed at Vlahos himself and other cast members, like actress Maddison Jaizani who played Sophie. In response, Alexander defended the show, pointing out that people were fixating on specific parts without considering the show as a whole. 

Alexander believed the series offered much more than just those scenes and didn't think it needed to court controversy as it did.
