After living 17 years together they decided to divorce in 2007. As the reason for their separation was Jim cheat on her for other women, as her identity is disclosed from media.

She is a single parent of two adorable children. Firstly, gave birth to a baby girl, name Christina Cantore in 1993. After two years she welcomed baby boy Ben Cantore in 1995.

Tamra has suffered from the disease known as Parkinson's disease in 1997, which was confirmed in 2005. Like a strong woman, she got diagnosed with the disease and defect the disease. She even had to quit her job as a journalist because of her treatment.

Apart from her personal and professional life, she has given her time for social work too. She is a founder of the non-profitable organization "Team Cantore" in 2000. 

It stands to raise awareness about the disease Parkinson's among the public. She received the Alan Bonander Humanitarian Award in 2007 for her contribution in raising money for the research of Parkinson's disease. 

Children Health Problem

Tamra Cantore's children were only seven and nine when they were diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome. It is a genetic learning disorder. Being a single mother it was even more challenging for her to explain to them about her condition. She has a caregiver named Linda who helps her to take care of them.
