Saskia Reeves is an English actress who was born on 16 August 1961, in England, United Kingdom. She is most recognized for her part in the films named, "Closed My Eyes" in 1991 and "I.D." in the year 1995.

She has played regular parts on the television shows Luther, Wolf Hall, and Plotlands. Her filmed name, Closed my eyes earned the "Evening Standard Film Award" in the year 1992 for the best British picture.

Reeves is the daughter of Dutch mother and an English father. Her father, Steve Reeves was an actor which inspired her to pursue a career in performing arts at a young age. 

She graduated from high school and went to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama for her further education. She worked with actors like Nicholas Hytner and Mike Leigh throughout the early stages of her acting career.

After two-year hiatus, she made a comeback in the 1994 Australian film named "Traps". playing the lead role as Louise Duffield. She also starred the film named, "Butterfly", playing the main role as Miriam.

She appeared in many films after that. Then she focused mostly from cinema to television in the late 2010s, as she received better offers from television.  Some of the shows that she starred are Midsomer Murders, The Fixer, Wallander and many more.
