On 19 May 2018, Seppala and his wife Sarah Rafferty were guests at St George's Chapel Windsor Castle at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. 

The actress's dress in a navy blue Lanvin gown along with a hat on the head and the husband's dress was a grey waistcoat with a blue tie and black suit jacket.
