Cancer Survivor 

On May 12, 2015, Christiansen revealed news of being diagnosed with breast cancer. She had to undergo a lumpectomy and mastectomy every week. 

On 12th October 2015, the chef was rushed to a hospital due to fluid buildup which may create complications in her recovery, during that time the hospital staff closely examine her. For a year, she had to go for many pain which ended in mid-2016, and got free from Cancer. 

Social Activist 

Being a cancer survivor, she is advocating for the organization 'The No Excuses Bill', which allows women to get free mammograms in New York. Likewise, Christiansen has been involved in 'Stand Up to Cancer' and denotes some amount of her net worth.
