His career break after playing a role in the movie ‘Perfect Day’ in 2005. Then gave back to back hit movies such as ‘Perfect Day: The Millennium’ (2006), 'Bike Squad' (2008), and ‘Three and Out’ (2008). He has starred in TV series like Mutual Friend, The Smoke, Apple Tree Yard, Carters Get Rich, Delicious, Agatha Raisin, Keeping Faith, and so on.

As a writer 

Mal Milligan of ‘The Smoke’ is also a writer.  He launched his writing career when he was commissioned to adopt ‘The Odyssey’ into a stage play. He is the writer in the play ‘City Hall’, which aired on television in 2012 as part of the Playhouse Presents series on Britain’s Sky Arts 1.
