However, as time passed, their relationship soured, leading to their eventual separation and divorce on November 25, 1969. Following their split, Jayne retreated from public view, maintaining a low profile.

Their marriage lasted for 25 years, and they had two kids named Jesse and Micah. But in 1995, they divorced. It was said Neil paid Marcia a huge amount in their divorce settlement, but Neil denied it, calling it untrue news made up by someone.

Neil talked about how tough it was being married for so long. When he married for the third time, he said he didn't want another marriage after that. He believed he had the best woman and was determined to make their relationship last forever.

Following Marcia Murphey, Neil Diamond tied the knot with Katie McNeil on April 12, 2012. They got engaged in September 2011 and exchanged vows in a private ceremony surrounded by close friends and family in LA.
