Matthew Scrunkly Champion's also known by his career name, Matt Champion, an American artist, and a talented songwriter. He also joined a famous local hip-hop band "BROCKHAMPTON".

He rose to prominence after vocalizing for the hip-hop band, BROCKHAMPTON. He is known as one of the most talented genre-bending artists in the modern music era.  

Early life And Family

Champion was born on 14 February 1995 in Texas, United States. He was raised in Woodland, Texas. He started showing interest in music from a young age. 

He hasn't revealed his parents' names yet, he seems to keep his private life personal. However, in his song "JOHNNY", he indicated that he was raised by his mother.  

In the music track title as "ROADRUNNER", he mentioned that he has a sister, named Sarah and he also let his fans know that his mother lost a child from a tragic accident before giving birth to the singer.

Champion seems to have had a strong interest in music and fashion since he was a teenager. He grew raised in Texas, United States, with his mother. He seems to be keen on hairdressing.

In 2010, he joined a band named AliveSinceForever, after being a solo artist for a while. The band was created by his former bandmate Kevin Abstract. In 2013 and 2016, the band published their debut mixtapes and singles which were Hero, Dirt, and All-American Trash.  

In 2014, the band rebranded itself from AliveSinceForever to BROCKHAMPTON. The band, after rebranding along with their older members included new additions with Jon Nunes as Manager, Romil Hemnani as producer, and Ashlan Grey as a photographer.
