Kira Kosarin, Star of The Thundermans | Actress & Singer

Kira Nicole Kosarin was born on October 7, 1997, in New Jersey. She had an artistic background; her mother and father were both Broadway performers, with her mother acting and her father working as a producer and music director. From an early age, Kira took ballet, gymnastics, and dance lessons and attended school at the Boca Ballet Theatre and Pine Crest School. 

Her family's rich performing arts background significantly influenced her early passion for acting and music. She moved to Los Angeles in 2011 to pursue a more active role in acting, where she attended Brighton Hall School in Burbank, California. 

Acting Career 

Kira began her acting career with a guest-starring appearance on Disney Channel's "Shake It Up" before landing her big break as Phoebe Thunderman in the Nickelodeon popular sitcom "The Thundermans" in 2013. The show, which is centered around a super-powered family, achieved her mainstream success and multiple Kids' Choice Award nominations. 

She also guest-starred in the TV movie "One Crazy Cruise" on Nickelodeon (2015) and added to her roster of credits by joining the Hulu series "Light as a Feather" in 2019. Kira played the dual role of executive producer and actress in the feature reprise "The Thundermans Return" (2024) and the follow-up series "The Thundermans: Undercover" (2025), winning the Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Female TV Star in 2025 for her work. 

Music Career 

Kira's music journey started in 2018 when she dropped her debut single "Spy." She dropped more singles like "Vinyl" and "Love Me Like You Hate Me" and her debut album Off Brand in 2019. While a planned UK tour was cancelled because of scheduling conflicts, Kira continued dropping music in the shape of singles and EPs like Songbird (2020) and Something New (2022). 

In 2022, she signed with Republic Records and dropped her major-label debut single, "Mood Ring." Kira is also recognized for her songwriting and performing on online platforms, including a well-known YouTube music cover channel.

Personal Life 

Kira has dated singer Max Chester since 2020, and the couple married in July of 2024. She is now living in Los Angeles with her Yorkshire Terrier, Kozmo.

Throughout her career, Kira has been nominated at the Kids' Choice Awards numerous times, culminating in a win in 2025 for Favorite Female TV Star for "The Thundermans: Undercover." Her talents reach into acting, music, and producing, where she is a triple threat entertainer.
