Kelly Tilghman is a former broadcaster of Golf Channel and NBC Sports. She was born on 6 August 1969, North Myrtle, South Carolina.  

She is the first female lead golf commenter on the PGA Tour. She excelled at golf as a prodigy, winning the Lady Paladin Invitational Golf Competition in the 1990s.

The talented anchor is the daughter of Phil Tilghman and Kathryn Tilghman. For past 22 years, her parents have owned and operated the golf course. Because she was raised in such environment, she enjoyed golf. She honed her abilities in this sport after that.

Kathryn Hemphill, her sister, was her best friend growing up. She studied history and political science at Duke University and earned a bachelor's degree in history and political science. She received a scholarship to play on the women's golf team while she was there.

Relationship Rumor With Nick Faldo:

In 2010,due to an on-screen connection between Kelly Tilghman and her co-host Nick Faldo, a rumor began to circulate that they were secretly married although there was no real proof to back up the claim. Nick's relationships have also been public, currently, he is dating CBS Sports communication chief LeslieAnne Wade. 

She later announced her retirement to spend more time with her family, implying that she is most likely married and has children, however, no information has been released.

Career:

The renowned golf announcer was a professional golfer from 1992 to 1996. She was hired by the Golf Channel in 2007. She secured a PGA Tour contract for 15 years. She would work on the first three events of the year, weekday tour coverage and complete coverage of the autumn series and opposite-field events, according to the contract.

Furthermore, she began working with the lead analyst Nick Faldo to form the broadcast crew for the network's PGA Tour telecasts the following year. She won a woman paladin invitational organized by Furman University in the 1990s. As a professional golfer, she has competed in Australia, Europe and Asia.

She left the Golf Channel in 2018 after working 22 years with the channel. During the 2008 PGA Tour Telecast, she was chastised for her comments on Tiger Woods. 

The event was shown on television, and civil rights activist Al Sharpton urged that she should be fired because she made a statement about the black community, which she did.

Kelly was suspended for two weeks by the Gold Channel as a result.
