The pair have two children together: Hermes Gustaf Daniel Giersch, born on October 18, 2006, and Helena Grace Rutherford Giersch, born on June 8, 2009. Rutherford became pregnant with Hermes just two months after they met.  

However, their marriage didn't last long, and Kelly filed for divorce on December 30, 2008, while she was pregnant with their second child. They officially divorced in 2010.

Now, they both share legal and physical custody and work together to decide things like the kids' health and education. Since then, Daniel has been living in Monaco with full legal custody of their children.

Daniel Giersch's ex-spouse Kelly Rutherford is an American actress and TV personality born on November 6, 1968, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, USA. She grew up with her brother, Anthony Rutherford, with their mother, Ann Edwards. However, she hasn't shared information about her father with the public.  

Rutherford went to Corona Del Mar High School in Newport Beach, California, for her schooling. Later, she moved to New York to study arts and theater at HB Studio and Beverly Hills Playhouse in California.

Kelly has been passionate about acting since she was a child. Her acting career began in daytime soap operas, and in 1987, she appeared in the American soap opera Loving. After that, Rutherford was a regular cast member in the American TV series Generations from 1989 to 1991 and was also part of the popular drama series Homefront.
