Olson has since made guest appearances in various films and TV series, including "The Drew Carey Show," "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment," "Out of Practice," "Miss Match," "Family Guy," and "Punk'd."

Additionally, Kaitlin had a minor role in the film "Coyote Ugly." In 2004, Olson landed the role of Deandra "Sweet Dee" Reynolds in the FX sitcom "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."

Olson also lent her voice to the character Ethel in the first season of Comedy Central's animated series "Brickleberry." Her diverse roles include portraying a Bulgarian drug addict in the 2013 film "The Heat," engaging in a lively exchange of cultural perspectives with Melissa McCarthy's character. 

Kaitlin played a recurring role as Hartley Underwood in the FX series "The Riches." In 2016, Olson participated in a Human Rights Campaign video honoring the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting. Additionally, Olson voiced Destiny in Disney's "Finding Dory."

Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Spokane, Washington, then later to Vashon Island, Washington, before finally settling in Tualatin, Oregon, where Olson spent her formative years on a farm. 

At the age of twelve, Kaitlin was in a serious bicycle accident involving a vehicle, which resulted in a fractured skull requiring reconstructive surgery. Despite this setback, she graduated from Tigard High School in Tigard, Oregon, in 1993. 

Following her passion for theater, Olson pursued a degree in theater arts at the University of Oregon, graduating in 1997. After completing her studies, she made the move to Los Angeles to pursue a professional acting career.
