Ultimately, they tied the knot on December 29, 2004, in the village of Shella on Lamu's Island, off the Kenyan Indian Ocean coast. Julian became Gillian's second husband, following her previous marriage to Canadian TV art director and production designer Clyde Klotz in 1994.
