Her father, Jerry Buss (27th January 1933 - 18th February 2013) was an American businessman, investor, chemist, and philanthropist. 

She has a sister, Janie Buss (1964), and two brothers: Johnny Buss (18th October 1956) is the vice-president of strategic development of the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA. Jim Buss (9th November 1959) is the former executive and vice president of basketball operations of the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA.
