The former basketball player played for Duke Blue Devils from 2001-2002. Later, he got selected by Chicago Bulls with the second overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft. During his career on the basketball court, he made his income in six digits.

Left NBA After Bike Accident 

On June 9, 2003, he had a bike accident in Chicago's Roscoe Village neighborhood. The police told, Williams was not wearing a helmet, was not licensed to ride a motorcycle in Illinois, and was violating the term of his Bulls contract. 

At the accident, the Chicago Bull player had injuries in the main nerve in the left leg, fractured pelvis, and three torn ligaments in his knee. For the recovery, he had done 13 surgeries, 100 staples in the leg, and physical therapy to regain the use of his leg. The Bulls gave Williams $3 million when they waived him, which could use for his medical expenses. 

Working For ESPN Network

In 2003, Williams joined ESPN as a commentator, where later he became a game and studio analyst in 2008. Also, he worked as an analyst for CBS College Sports Network in 2007. An analyst appeared in NBA Live 19 as an announcer. 

According to the New York Post, ESPN launched a new radio morning show, 'Keyshawn' with hosts Keyshawn, Jay Williams, and Zubin Mehenti in 2020.

Involved in Business

After leaving basketball, he has been engaged in business. As per the article on BlackEnterprise.com, Williams is the co-founder, 'Simatree', a management consulting company. Likewise, he is a partner with EPIC Insurance and partial owner of 'The CabinNYU restaurant'. However, the player is also a well-established person in the business.
