Jan Crawford is a well-known television journalist, lawyer, and author. She got immense fame when she helped to provide live, gavel-to-gavel coverage on PBS of the Supreme Court confirmation hearings of Chief Justice Robert and Justice. 

In 1965, she was born in the state of Alabama, United States. Jan was raised by her mother, Carolyn Crawford, who was the pageant holder of Miss Alabama USA/Teen USA. She grew up on a cattle ranch in Baileyton, Alabama.

Jan Crawford has an estimated net worth of $3 million which she earned as a lawyer, television journalist, and author. In 1987, her career started as a reporter at the Chicago Tribune. Then, worked for legal analysis on the Supreme Court for "The NewsHour" with Jim Lehrer. 

She served as the Supreme Court analyst for "Face the Nation" on CBS. For two years, Jan was the senior legal correspondent for the ABC Channel. Also, started a blog "Legalities" and "Crossroads". Currently, working as the chief legal and political correspondent for the channel. 

Moreover, the journalist is also an author of a legal book "Supreme Conflict: The Inside Story of the Struggle...". The book became New York's best seller. Crawford has received many awards for her work. She was honored with the Tribune's top reporting award. Then won the Tribune's top reporting award for her work in a 13-part series on the "South a generation" after the civil rights movement. 

Controversy 

Being a celebrity, they have to face some controversy. Once Jan Crawford was part of minor controversy. It happened when she examined a controversial decision judge and Supreme Court nominee Sonica Sotomayor who made on racial discrimination. At the same time, repeatedly declaring that it would be "almost impossible" for Senate Republicans to derail her promotion to the high court.

Jan Crawford is happily married to her longtime boyfriend turned husband, Douglas N. Greenburg. The couple met at the University of Chicago Law school for the first time. They were classmates and became friends which later turned into love. 

After completing their education, the couple tied the knot in a small and private nuptial. Their married life has already been more than 25 years and is parents of four children. The duo and their family are currently residing in New York City.

Mama of Four Children 

A lawyer is blessed with four children with her husband. In 1997, she gave birth to her first child, Carolyn Greenburg. After that, a year welcomed Louisa Greenburg in 1998. Then in 2001, son Jack Greenburg and mid-2003 daughter Page Greenburg. She has kept her children away from the limelight and prefers them to live a private lifestyle.
