Jacqueline Dena Guber came into the limelight as the celebrity kids. She is the adopted daughter of Barbara Walters and her ex-husband, Lee Guber. Her father was a theater impresario while her mother is a former broadcast journalist. 

On 14th Jue 1968, she was born in the United States. Her parents adopted her when she was an infant whereas her biological parents' information is under the curtain. Guber grew up with her half-siblings and made her childhood wonderful.

Married Life To Divorce 

Jacqueline Dena Gubar has married twice in her life. Her first husband was Mark Danforth whose information has not been revealed. They were in married life for a short period, later ended their relationship. 

After that, she exchanged the vows with Scott Pontius in the year 1995. Their wedding ceremony was held in Washington which was a private ceremony, where close family and friends were invited. Like first marriage, her second married life also could go so far and got divorced. Currently, she is single in relationship status.  

Overcome from Drug Addiction and Alcohol

Barbara's daughter was drug-addicted and alcoholic. At a young age, she was contracted with heavy substances. After knowing her addiction, Walters sent her to rehab in Idaho. Then, she was able to overcome her addiction and finished high school. 

Jacqueline decided to share her experience to inspire and help other young girls who are battling substance abuse. She also founded New Horizons, an intervention program that used outdoors living and clinical therapy to treat women with addiction issues. In 2008, the program closed its operations. 

Arrested 

In 2013, Jacqueline Dena Guber was charged for a DIU bust and also confront and verbally abused arresting officers. Again, in 2014, Guber got arrested by police in Naples, Florida for driving under the influence being heavily intoxicated. Later, she got bail after paying $1,000 and spend 2 days in jail. 

Parents Relationship 

Lee Guber and Barbara Walters exchanged the vows on 8th December 1963. During their family planning, they have to pass from fertilization struggles. The couple tried a dozen attempts and three miscarriages, they almost give up entirely. Later, the former duo decided to adopt a baby girl. After 13 years of married life, they couldn't take their relationship and get divorced in 1976.

Parents Multiple Marriage 

The television broadcast journalist has married four times in her life. Her first husband is Robert Henry Katz from 1995 to 1957. After a divorce from Mr. Guber, she got married to Merv Adelson in 1981 and got divorced in 1984. They again remarried in 1986 which lasted in 1992. Likewise, she has dated Henry Kissinger, Alan Greenspan, and Edward Brooke.

On the other hand, Guber has married three times whereas his first wife is Edna Shanis. Then, after separation from Walters, he married Lois Wyse with whom he was with until his death.   

Why Jacqueline Changed Her Last Name?

We all know, Jacqueline's surname was Walters which later changed into Guber. At age of 18, she changed her last name. The reason behind it was her late father was less popular and she doesn't want to be linked to her mother's fame.  Jacqueline Guber is a secretive person and wants to live a normal private life.
