An American businessman, Isaac Tigrett is the former owner of House of Blues (HOB) with partnership Dan Aykroyd, he is a popular actor and filmmaker who is also a co-founder of Hard Rock Café and House of Blues.

From birth, he was born with a golden spoon in his mouth. He was born on November 28, 1948, in a well-known business family. He was raised in Jackson, Tennessee. His father John Burton Tigrett, an industrial and his uncle was a founder of the Gulf Mobile & Ohio Railroad.

Tigrett had attended boarding McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee from there he was expelled. He later went to Baylor School in Chattanooga and completed his graduation. He is a former pupil of Centre College in1997, where he received an honorary degree for promoting Africa culture and racial harmony. 

Spouse - Maureen Cox Starkey

The entrepreneur Tigrett was married to late Maureen Cox Starkey in 1989. His wife was a hairdresser from Liverpool, England. They started dating in the duration of the 1980s. 

The couple was together for five years until the death of Starkey. He was the second husband of his spouse. The pair is blessed with a daughter.

Previous Marriage of His Wife

Tigrett’s wife was previously wedded to Ringo Starr who is Beatle drummer. They got married on 11 February 1965 at the Caxton Hall Register Office. 

She was pregnant before getting married in late January 1965. The couple stayed for 10 years and later got divorced in the year 1975. They share three children together. 

Daughter - Augusta King Tigrett

‘Hard Rock Café’ founder is the proud father of daughter Augusta King Tigrett. She came into this world on 4th January 1987, in Dallas Texas. Although her parents are famous, Augusta does not like to stay out of the media sphere. But she often spotted with her half-siblings Lee Starkey, Zak Starkey, and Jason Starkey. 

Tragic Death of Wife

In 1994, Maureen Cox Starkey passed away from this world due to leukemia. The disease is caused when blood cells are not fully developed.  After her death, Tigrett looked after their daughter as a single parent which shows that Isaac is very close to his daughter. 

Established of Restaurants

As belonging to a business established family, he also chooses the same field as his career. On June 14, 1971, he opened his first ‘Hard Rock Café’ (HRC) restaurant in London’s fashionable Mayfair district along with Peter Morton. The restaurants combined rock music, memorabilia related to rock ‘n’ roll, and American cuisine. 

At that time, his restaurant was very popular and opened a branch in different parts of the globe. It was the first theme restaurant chain in the world.

After getting being a successful man from the start. He launched him, The Spirit Channel. It is related to spirituality and health. It was launched through the internet, traditional media, and physical locations. Unfortunately, it failed to take off which make him close it. 

Had to Leave ‘House of Blue’

Partnership with Dan Aykroyd, Tigrett established the 'House of Blues' (HOB) in 1992, where Harvard University was also an initial investor in the venture. Its prototype was opened in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Then when Disney and Andrew Filipowski invested in business there flew different opinions between Tigrett and other board members over their operations. That led him to leave in 1998.

As we know that, Isaac Tigrette is a fanatical adherent of Sathya Sai Baba. He was influenced by his guru, Sai Baba. He spoke on the BBC documentary named ‘The Secret Swami’ where the show says how godman did pedophilia and sexual abuse, which he stated was truth to rumors. He also said that such behavior would not change his belief in his ritual.
