During her college days, Sofia Levander held various positions, as indicated on her LinkedIn account. She served as an assistant to the CEO of SBI Stockholm Securities Market Information for four months. Subsequently, she worked as an assistant to the Talent and Music Manager at MTV Networks but resigned after about four months.

While still in college, Sofia took on the role of International Agent for Christopher Kon for nearly 2 years (21 months). After graduating, she worked as an Editorial and Project Director in New York for 33 months, where she authored financial reports for Smart Money, a publication by the Wall Street Journal. Notably, she achieved over one million dollars in sales from advertising during this period.

Afterward, she ventured into entrepreneurship, co-founding a fast-food business called F21 (21st Century Fast Food) in December. Unfortunately, the business did not meet her expectations and closed within two years. In the first half of 2010, she took on the role of Account Executive for Microsoft Advertising for a duration of 20 months.

Daniel Ek, born and raised in the Rågsved district of Stockholm, Sweden, initially pursued engineering studies at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology after graduating from high school in 2002. However, he dropped out to focus on his IT career. Ek had notable roles in companies like Tradera, Stardoll, and Advertigo, the latter of which was sold to TradeDoubler in 2006.

In 2006, Ek co-founded Spotify with Martin Lorentzon. The platform, initially using a peer-to-peer model, grew into a global music streaming service. Ek became the CEO, and by April 2019, Spotify had 217 million active users and had raised over $2.5 billion in venture funding.
