Hubie Brown is a retired basketball coach and player who has contributed for almost five decades. He was honored two times as the NBA Coach of the Year.

On 25th September 1933, he was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, United States. Brown was raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey from the age of three. His father is Charlie Brown who worked at the shipyard whereas his mother's details are under the curtain.

Hubie Brown has a whopping amount of net worth which he managed to amass through his career as a coach and analyst. His average annual salary of $58,506 as an analyst. In 1955, he began his career as a coach at "St. Mary Academy". Likewise at "Cranford High School", "Fair Lawn High School", "College of William & Mary", and "Duke University". 

His career got a break after serving as an assistant coach for "Milwaukee Bucks". Then became head coach for a member of American Basketball Association such as "Kentucky Colonels", "Atlanta Hawks", "New York Knicks", and "Memphis Grizzlies". After his retirement, he was honored at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a contributor.

Retired As A Coach

First, Hubie Brown got retired in 1987 and again in 2002 joined. But after two years, again resign from the post. His last service was for Memphis Grizzlies, a team based in Memphis, Tennessee.  Then, began his broadcasting career for USA Network's coverage of the NBA. 

Trained As US Army 

Fewer people only know that Brown is also a former US Army. After he completed his graduation, he joined the military for a few years until 1958. In fact, he took participate in the US Army's basketball team. After that, left the military and took a turn in his profession as a basketball player. 

Interest in Sports

From an early age, he was interested in sports. In his high school, he won state championships in football, basketball, and baseball. In 1955, he played college basketball and baseball at Niagara University. 

Not only in basketball, but Brown was also an excellent player in sports. He was a player for the Rochester Colonels of the Eastern Professional Basketball League. His average points were 13.8 per game which was a record as a pro. 

Married Life 

Hubie Brown is married to his long-term girlfriend, Claire Brown. The couple has kept their personal life away from the media. They have been living for more than five decades. As being a well-known personality, the retired coach has not spotted with his wife in any events. They are parents of four children and grandparents of three grandkids. 

Father of Four Children 

He is proud of four children Molly, Virginia, Julie, and Brenden Browns. His son is a basketball analyst and writer who has been working with "MSG" since 2008. He has followed his father's footsteps and made a career in the same field, Brown served for NBA teams in a variety of roles over a decade.

Currently, Brenden Brown is MSG Network's New York Knicks radio analyst on ESPN New York 98.7 FM. Whereas his daughters are away from the limelight and living a private life.
