The location allowed him to enjoy beach runs. In 2013, he commenced substantial renovations on the property and later listed it for $19.9 million in 2018.

Garnett reportedly considered paying $695,000 for new doors and windows, over $300,000 for a new granite driveway, an additional $300,000 for exterior stucco, and $30,000 for a pool house roof. In 2014, Garnett sold his Concord, Massachusetts property for $3.635 million, marking a notable loss from the $4.625 million he had paid in 2007.
