Efe Ajagba is a Nigerian professional boxer, commonwealth champion, and Olympian with impressive boxing exploits. Ajagba is one of Nigeria's wealthiest athletes. He holds the record for the quickest boxing victory in history. 

He is also renowned by his nickname "The Silent Roller " who won a gold medal at the 2015 African Games. He wasn't always a pro boxer. In order to provide for his family, he once worked in a bakery.

Early Life

The Nigerian star was born on 22 April 1994 in Ughelli, Delta State, Nigeria. He has three siblings, an older brother, and two younger sisters named Loveth Ajagba and Joe Ajagba.

Efe took an interest in football as a child and joined an amateur football team in his hometown in 2005. But his aim of making a breakthrough in football was dashed, paving the way for a new endeavor. In 2011, he chose to attempt boxing, which proved to be a wise move in his life.

Boxing Records

Ajagba made his international debut in the Super-Heavyweight class at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. He won the bronze medal after losing to Australia's Joseph Goodall. It was the start of a journey that would propel him into the spotlight throughout the world.

In 2016, the Nigerian boxer won gold in the African Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament in Cameroon in the super heavyweight division. He knocked out Tyrell Herndon in his first professional boxing battle, and he holds the record for the fastest victory in boxing history.

Curtis Harper, his opponent in August 2018, was disqualified for leaving the ring 1 second after the opening bell. In his career, he has only lost one bout, which occurred on October 9, 2021, in Nevada, United States, against Cuban boxer Frank Sanchez.  In the tenth round, he was defeated by a unanimous decision. The fighter has won 15 of his 16 fights.

The heavyweight sensation Efe Ajagba is so in love with his fiance Tiya Renee. She is an entrepreneur and business coach, as well as the owner of a prestige image consultant.

The beautiful couple has two little children, a son called Tiyon Tayari, and a daughter, Tahari Ese.
