A Former Member of ‘Gelbison’ Band
As mentioned before, Galafassi started his successful journey as a musician in the early 1990s. In 2002, he played as a drummer in Sydney indie band, ‘Gelbison’, an Australian pop-rock band which was formed by Pete Farley in 2000. The band was made of four-member, Pete Farley (guitarist), Dave Galafassi (Drummer), and the Kahn brothers; Edo and Nadav (vocalist, guitarist, and keyboard).
With the band, he released their debut album ‘Metal detector’ in October 2002. After that, they released ‘Homeland’, ‘1704’, and ‘Good God’. They performed gigs at various places in and around Sydney. Before releasing second albums, Galafassi had left the group. Later, the band ‘Gelbison’ disbanded in 2007.
After Leaving the Band
In January 2006, Dave and better half Toni Collette formed the group ‘Toni Collette & the Finish’ in which Pete Farley also joined their group. Their first album is ‘Beautiful Awkward Pictures’, on October 7, 2006.
The album features songs such as Lookup, The Trouble with Sister, This Moment is Golden, Mosaic Life, and Tender Hooks. After success, the band featured on the Australian part of the ‘Live Earth’ concert in Sydney.
Acting career
Collette’s husband appeared in the comedy-drama film, ‘Lucky Them’. He played the role of club drummer as Ellie Klug along with co-stars Ahna O’Reilly, Thomas Haden, Amy Seimetz, and others. The film was released in 2013 which was directed by Megan Griffiths.

His wife Toni Collette said that Dave Galafassi is lucky to be alive after he was involved in a “devastating motorbike accident”. She publicly thanked NSW Ambulance and Toll Ambulance Rescue for saving her husband’s life.
