Concurrently, from 1993 to 1995, Mike penned a weekly syndicated column for the California-based Copley News Service. In 1994, he diversified his experience by adding reporting duties for SportsChannel Chicago.

The following year, Greenberg joined CLTV, assuming roles as an anchor, reporter, and host of a live call-in show. In September 1996, Mike's career took a significant turn as he joined ESPN, where he played a pioneering role as one of the inaugural hosts of ESPNEWS upon its launch in November of the same year.

ESPN Career (1996-Present)

In 1999, when ESPN Radio was only available in four markets, Mike Greenberg was approached about spearheading a morning drive-time show alongside Mike Golic. Accepting the offer, Greenberg made it clear that he would maintain his regular anchoring duties on SportsCenter.

The duo's show began regular simulcasts on ESPNEWS on April 26, 2004, owing to its growing popularity. As their success continued, they transitioned to ESPN2 in January 2005.

A highlight of their program was the annual "Sheet of Integrity" wager, revolving around the NCAA men's basketball tournament and ESPN.com's bracket contest. This wager originated from Golic's multiple entries into different pools, prompting Greenberg to emphasize the importance of integrity by insisting on only one entry per person.

The loser of their bet would undertake a humiliating task, often performed on air. Noteworthy moments included Greenberg wearing the University of Notre Dame Leprechaun mascot costume and donning a New England Patriots jersey to a New York Jets game.
