Bobbie Jean Carter, Sister of Nick and Aaron Carter, Passes Away Unexpectedly at 41

Bobbie Jean Carter, previously a makeup artist and sibling to famed personalities Aaron Carter and Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, has passed away at the age of 41.  

Her sister, Angel Carter, who is 36 years old and a wardrobe stylist, announced Bobbie Jean's death on her Instagram page. In a heartfelt post on Sunday morning, Angel shared a series of childhood photos in memory of her sister. 

In a heartfelt message to her late older sister Bobbie, Angel Carter expressed, "You were always full of life and humor, Bobbie. To me, you were more than a sister; you were my closest friend from our youngest days. Life was tough on you, and at times, it seemed like the odds were never in your favor."  

Her tribute also touched upon the losses of her other siblings, Leslie Carter, who passed away in 2012, and her twin brother Aaron Carter, who died the previous year. Angel mentioned that their childhoods were marked by hardships and pain. 

"Children should be living in innocence, not weighed down by trauma, pain, and suffering, especially when they are so young," Angel elaborated. "I understand the reasons behind Leslie, Aaron, and now your struggles. We share the pain from our childhood, and I regret that you didn't get a chance at a better life."  

In her message, Angel Carter also emphasized the importance of breaking down stigmas and encouraging people to seek help for mental health issues.

Jane Carter, the mother of Bobbie Jean Carter, expressed to TMZ on December 23 her profound shock over her daughter's unexpected passing. The specific details surrounding Bobbie's death remain unclear, but it was confirmed that she passed away on a Saturday morning in Florida.  

"I'm still trying to come to terms with this devastating loss, which has happened to me for the third time," Jane stated to the media outlet. "Once I can think more clearly, I'll make a more comprehensive statement. For now, I ask for privacy as I mourn."  

Jane also spoke about the impact of such a loss on children, particularly noting her concern for her eight-year-old granddaughter Bella, who had already lost her father and was now bereaved of her mother too. She requested that those who empathize offer prayers for Bella.  

Bobbie Jean Carter was known for her appearance on the E! reality TV show "House of Carters," where her battles with addiction and substance abuse were publicly shown. Since then, she has chosen to live a life away from public attention. 

The passing of Bobbie occurred just over a year following the death of her younger brother, Aaron Carter. Aaron, known for his music career and being the younger sibling of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, was found deceased at his home in Southern California in November, at the age of 34.  

Aaron Carter, who was 34 when he passed, had a career that included opening for Britney Spears and his brother's group, the Backstreet Boys. In 2009, he appeared on the ninth season of "Dancing With the Stars," where he and his dance partner Karina Smirnoff finished in fifth place.  

At the time of Aaron's death, his fiancée Melanie Martin, who is the mother of his young son, requested privacy for the family as they mourned.  

Martin expressed her grief in a statement, saying, "We are still coming to terms with this sad reality. We appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers."  

Nick Carter publicly shared his profound sorrow over his brother Aaron's death, and the Backstreet Boys also paid tribute to him.
