Anneliese van de Pol and Johnno Wilson are officially engaged!
On December 23, the actress from "That's So Raven" agreed to marry her boyfriend and co-star from "Raven's Home" when he proposed to her. They both posted pictures of the engagement, which happened near their Christmas tree, on Instagram on Wednesday.
The initial picture captures van de Pol on the floor, visibly astonished with her mouth agape. In the following image, she's seen leaning in, gazing directly into his eyes. The last photo highlights van de Pol with a champagne glass in hand, showcasing her new engagement ring.
In the Instagram caption, Wilson expressed gratitude, writing, "Thank you @disney for bringing me together with my TV ex-spouse and now real-life fiancé. 12.23.23."
"Raven's Home," the show on Disney Channel, is where the couple first crossed paths.
In this series, van de Pol reprised her role as Chelsea, the best friend of Raven-Symone, a character she initially portrayed in "That's So Raven." Wilson, however, was only part of this newer series, where he took on the role of Garrett Grayson, the ex-husband of Chelsea.
In October 2017, Wilson got the chance to join the season 1 wrap party of Raven’s Home two months later, where he met up again with van der Pol.
On a 2023 podcast episode, Wilson shared, “I was searching for (Anneliese), but she seemed to be avoiding me. When I approached her, I said, 'Hey Anneliese,' and she asked, 'Where's your girlfriend?'”

Van der Pol, on her part, felt nervous because she had strong feelings for Wilson but was under the impression he was in a relationship. However, Wilson quickly clarified to her that he was single.
In March 2020, Nearly three years into their relationship, Anneliese made it official on Instagram. Sharing a video of Wilson experimenting with facial filters, she humorously captioned it, “He’s my ex-husband and I HATE him, but it seems YOU all love him… so here you go. THE WHOLE VIDEO ….”
By August 2023, Anneliese often playfully referenced her relationship and hinted at an engagement through her TikTok posts. In August, she and Wilson recreated a famous scene from "That’s So Raven" for TikTok.
They lip-synced to a season 3 episode where van der Pol's character, Chelsea, accidentally calls her then-boyfriend Danny “Randy.” In this recreation, Wilson played the part of Danny.
On November 7, the pair posted a video on Instagram where they are seen holding a poster from "Raven's Home." Van de Pol captioned it humorously, saying, "When he thinks he did something but he was only in the reboot."
In a separate post from September, there's a celebration of Anneliese's birthday. The photo shows the couple, both dressed in black, embracing each other. The caption excitedly announces, "CAN’T BELIEVE IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!!!! I turned 39. 9/23/23 @johnnowilson."
