Whereas Wade's father Dwyane Wade is a notable American professional basketball player with a net worth of approximately $170 million. His basketball journey began in high school, where he set records for scoring and steals, positioning him as a promising college prospect.

Zaya Wade is a Model And Influencer

Zaya Wade has been getting a lot of attention in the fashion world since she started modeling. In the fall of 2022, she posed for pictures wearing new bracelets from Tiffany & Co. At the same time, she also shared some extra pictures from another photo shoot. 

In March 2023, Wade walked on a special runway for Miu Miu during a big fashion event in Paris. Her parents were sitting in the front row watching her. A stylist named Thomas Christos Kikis wrote on the internet that Zaya taught him about believing in yourself.  

Later in that same month, Zaya's first picture on the front of a magazine was out in stores. The picture was black and white, and she was wearing clothes from Miu Miu. Wade's father Dwyane Wade, was really proud and talked about getting the first magazine with her picture. Zaya wrote a nice message to her dad in the magazine.  

In July 2023, Zaya appeared in pictures for Miu Miu's new collection of clothes. She wore a big jacket and a matching skirt. She also had small heels and a brown leather bag to go with the outfit. 

Zaya Wade Helps And Supports Teenagers Who Are Part of The LGBTQ+ Community.  

Zaya Wade talked to PEOPLE about a project called Dove Self-Esteem. She was part of it with her stepmom. She said that being true to herself has made her relationships better. "When I am honest with myself, I can also be honest with others. This makes connections between people better," she explained. 

Wade also talked about dealing with negativity from others. She mentioned that when she spends time watching TV, reading, or thinking, she can look inside herself. Zaya asks, "Is there anything bad or ugly in me or around me that I can get rid of?" She wants to make herself better by removing negativity. 

In 2021, Zaya had a conversation with Michelle Obama, who used to be the First Lady. Wade asked for advice on how to be herself and succeed. Obama praised Wade for being a great role model and embracing her true self. 

Wade also shared that hearing different perspectives from people who are not like us can be helpful. It has helped her become who she is.  

Zaya's parents have also been speaking out against hate speech. Wade's step-mom, Gabrielle Union, said that their home won't be a place for people who spread hate. They believe in being true to themselves and won't let anyone be violent towards them.

Zaya Wade Doesn't Have a Good Relationship With Her Mom 

After Dwyane Wade and Zaya's mom, Siohvaughn Funches, got divorced, Dwyane got custody of Zaya and her sibling Zaire. When Dwyane and his wife Gabrielle Union wanted to change Zaya's name and gender legally, Zaya's mom disagreed and went to court.

Siohvaughn said that Dwyane might be making money from this change and could be pushing Zaya into it for money. Dwyane responded on social media. He was disappointed in his ex-wife's actions. He said she's only thinking about herself and not what's best for their children. He added that this is serious for Zaya, not a game.  

Dwyane filed again to change Zaya's name. He said Funches' objections are lies and don't make sense. Even though it would have been better if Zaya's mom supported her, waiting for that wasn't fair for Zaya. So, on February 24, 2023, Zaya's name and gender change were officially approved by the court.
