"Those who saw it were forever transformed," mentioned Allen in her statement. "He will be deeply missed by numerous people."

Originally from Mexico and brought up in Texas, Adan was a talented actor and musician. He was actively involved in the Fox series "The Cleaning Lady," which was in the process of filming its third season when he passed away. Allen clarified that Canto had not commenced his work on the new season yet.

Canto was recognized for his roles in various TV series like "Designated Survivor," "Narcos," and "Blood and Oil." His film credits included "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "Agent Game."

Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment expressed their sorrow upon hearing about Adan's passing. They described him as a remarkable actor and a cherished friend, highlighting his association with their networks dating back to his U.S. debut in "The Following" over a decade ago.

The statement continued, praising Canto's recent compelling performance in "The Cleaning Lady," where he captivated audiences with his skill, versatility, depth, and emotional honesty.

Adan made his debut in 2009, featuring in two episodes of "Estado de Gracia," a TV series in Mexico. He continued to be part of several Mexican TV shows and films until 2013 when he secured a pivotal role in the American market, starring in Season 1 of Fox's "The Following" alongside Keifer Sutherland.

In 2014, Canto played the character Sunspot, capable of harnessing the sun's power, in the Marvel superhero movie "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

Also venturing into filmmaking, Adan showcased his talents by starring in and directing his inaugural short film in 2014 titled "Before Tomorrow."

Following his roles, Canto made a guest appearance in an episode of the Netflix cartel series "Narcos" and was part of Season 1 of the ABC series "Blood & Oil." He reunited with Sutherland in "Designated Survivor," featuring in all three seasons from 2016 to 2020.

In 2021, Adan starred in "Bruised," directed by his "X-Men" co-star Halle Berry, marking her directorial debut. Additionally, he appeared in the CIA thriller "Agent Game" in 2022 before taking on a role in "The Cleaning Lady" during the same year.

Talking about his passion for acting, Canto said to Anthem Magazine in 2022 that he found it enjoyable and loved being part of that world.

"It's something I'm grateful for every day. It's not easy, but I feel fortunate to be in it. I just can't stop enjoying it. Each job is unique," he expressed.

Adan's last social media post, made in June 2022 for Father's Day, showed a picture of him with his wife and kids, captioned: "Happy Father's Day! I've been blessed with mine."
