Wright was born on April 8, 1966, in Dallas. Her mom, Gayle, sold cosmetics for Mary Kay, and her dad, Fred, worked for a pharmaceutical company. She has an older brother named Richard, who is a photographer. 

When Wright was two years old, her parents got divorced, and she moved to San Diego, California with her mom. She grew up in Southern California and went to La Jolla High School in La Jolla and later Taft High School in Los Angeles.

Robin Wright's spouse is Clement Giraudet. Giraudet has a job at Saint Laurent where he often meets celebrities.

Apart from his fashion career, Giraudet enjoys activities like snowboarding, surfing, and mountain biking. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Bedfordshire and a master's degree from Emlyon Business School in France. After completing his studies in 2009, he attended EDC Paris Business School and earned an MBA in luxury brand management and international marketing. 

Following his graduation, Clement worked for well-known fashion houses in France, including Christian Dior and Balmain, as mentioned on his LinkedIn profile. After three years as an assistant store director at Balmain, he was appointed as a store director for Saint Laurent. In 2016, he was promoted to worldwide VIP relations manager for the brand as per The Sun.

Clement Giraudet and Robin Wright's relationship became public during Paris Fashion Week in 2017. Although the exact start date of their romance remains unknown, they both attended the Cannes Film Festival in May 2017. Wright participated in an event sponsored by the same organization that oversaw Saint Laurent, and Giraudet was also present, although they were not seen together at the time.  

About four months later, the couple seemingly confirmed their relationship by attending a soccer game together at Parc des Princes Stadium during Paris Fashion Week. Photographs captured them enjoying the game alongside Wright's son, Hopper Penn. Robin also attended the Saint Laurent fashion show during that time. After Fashion Week, the couple spent some time in Paris before traveling to Tahoe City, California, for a vacation.  

Less than a year after publicly acknowledging their relationship, Wright and Giraudet got married on August 10, 2018. The couple chose to keep their engagement private, but Robin was spotted wearing a ring during a trip to Paris in 2017. Their wedding was described as an intimate and low-key affair, with the focus on celebrating their love rather than creating a grand event. 

A video shared on Instagram by Wright's daughter, Dylan Penn, showed wedding guests dancing at the reception held in La Roche-sur-le-Buis, France. Following their wedding, the newlyweds embarked on a honeymoon to Ibiza, where they were photographed sharing affectionate moments on the beach while wearing snorkeling masks.  

Robin Wright's Marriage Ended After Four Years With Clement Giraudet

In 2022, Robin Wright and  Clement Giraudet ended their relationship. After being married for four years, Wright filed for divorce from Giraudet. According to TMZ, Wright stated that they had irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.  

In the divorce filing, Robin mentioned that all assets are considered separate property based on the post-nuptial agreement between them.

Robin Wright, the American actress, has had notable relationships in her past. Before her marriage to Clement Giraudet, Wright was previously married to two other prominent figures in the entertainment industry.  

Wright's first marriage was to actor Dane Witherspoon. They tied the knot in 1986 but unfortunately, the union was short-lived, and they divorced in 1988. Shortly after her divorce from Witherspoon, Wright began a relationship with actor Sean Penn.

The couple met on the set of the film State of Grace and eventually got married in 1996. Together, they had two children, a daughter Dylan Frances and a son Hopper Jack.
